How do I apply to be a CCHC?
If
you meet all the requirements and understand the responsibilities, the next step
is to complete the
CCHC application
(PDF Version)
(Word Version)
and return it to the Healthy
Child Care Texas Coordinator via email (hcct@hhsc.state.tx.us)
or fax (512-424-6591). You will be notified once your application is
received.
All
applications then go through a review process and you will be notified if you
are accepted to participate in the CCHC training. More details will be provided
once you submit your application.
Please
note: Training requires 2 days in Austin (travel is at your own expense) as well as 12 weeks
of online modules with homework; registration with the
Texas Trainer Registry; and developing,
planning, and conducting a child care provider training. More details about the
application deadline as well as dates and cost of training will be available no

enough interest, a second training may be available. If you are accepted but
unable to make the training in 2010, your name will be placed at the top of the
list for the next training session.
